PC with internet connection and the following minimum equipment:
- PC with at least 500 MHz CPU and 128 megabyte main memory
- A display with a resolution of at least 1024 x 786
- An internet connection with a transfer rate of at least 56 kilobits per second; recommended: ISDN, DSL or dedicated line
- You can test your browser for the most important requirements with our online browser test.
- Every user needs an e-mail account.
In a network environment:
- Firewall configuration: HTTP and HTTPS must be allowed
- Proxy Server: HTTP-GET and HTTP-PUT must be allowed
The data transmission with POOL4TOOL uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with a 128-bit encryption, exactly as also used in internet banking.
POOL4TOOL communicates with the backend-system via a VPN-channel or ENX.
Our servers are protected against attacks by several state-of-the-art firewalls and intrusion-detection-systems.
We are running a disaster recovery backup in a separated data processing center. We are able to guarantee full functionality after a total crash within 4 hours - with the data from the previous business day.

Our servers are located in the data processing center of Intergenia in Dusseldorf (Germany) and are connected with a main internet node by a 9.6GBit backbone and four different carriers.
