In Principle, There Are Two Choices For The Exchange Of Data:

Real-time synchronization: data is imported to the other system as soon as it is created or edited.

Batch synchronization: for security reasons, the entire data exchange is initiated by SAP. We use user-specific folders, where updated information is stored, and from which it is fetched by the SAP system at regular time intervals.
