CAD Data Exchange

CAD data exchange is an extension of POOL4TOOL's DMS functionality and is mainly used where large amounts of data have to be transmitted in a highly secure and documented way.

Compliance With Standards

POOL4TOOL uses existing standards in the automotive industry, such as OFTP, ENGDAT and ENGPER (an extension of VDA Recommendation 4951). POOL4TOOL CAX can be fully integrated in Prostep. The physical transmission of data is performed with European Network eXchange (ENX), which enables the same security level as if the data were transmitted over ISDN lines.

Safe File Upload For Suppliers

A special Java applet for the encrypted upload of large amounts of data (e.g. from a supplier) completes the service and eliminates the need to transport the CAD data by CD.
